Babymoon // Charleston

Here are a couple snap shots of our June trip to Charleston, SC. We had fun, but it was extremely hot so that put a limit on exploring, beaching, etc.

A couple of the restaurants we went to:

Folly Beach- We went to Taco boy the first night. The Mexican street corn was to die for, the virgin margs, not so much (I had no idea that fruit flies were taking over Charleston, haha)
We went to Rita's Seaside Grille and Black Magic CafĂ© for brunch.

Downtown- We went to Bubba Gump (Trav insisted, I wasn't too impressed but did not have high expectation either, lol!!)
39 Rue De Jean was SOO GOOD! I can't even remember all of what we ordered but I do know that the French onion soup was the best I've ever had.
We went to Amen Street for happy hour, I had the fried green tomatoes and a virgin bloody mary (they make their own bloody mary mix - ugh so good!!!) I stayed away from the oysters for obvious reasons, but would have loved to have some!
The Watch Rooftop bar - the mocktails were tasty, the food was even tastier. My mouth still waters when I think about those truffle fries. The sunset was beautiful. I'm pretty sure they have the best view of Charleston.
We went to Monza for a quick snack (I had to eat pretty much hourly. Plus my pregnant craving were out of control. So much good food to choose from while walking downtown). We sat at the chefs table, I ordered a yummy salad with lots of olives and Travis enjoyed watching the chef cook pizzas and pastas. Their wine selection was amazing, although I had to keep my paws off. I can't wait to visit when I'm not pregnant!
We discovered a cute little cocktail bar called Proof while waiting on our dinner reservations at another place. I had THE BEST mocktail ever made. It was made with rose water and God knows what else, but pregnancy approved. Again, I can't wait to go back when I'm not pregnant and enjoy all the yummy drinks. This place was very friendly and very accommodating.

Most of our days consisted of either exploring, eating, or beach days. I loved our Airbnb, but next time I'd either want to stay right on the beach or right downtown. We did learn very quickly that locals do not care for the Southern Charm cast #hilarious. All in all, we can't wait to go back and take little baby H. Charleston is one of my dad's fav. places to go, so I'm seeing a family trip in our near future.

Xx,

LeAnne
